On My Knees Cleaning up Dog Poop

One night, my dog Winston ate a pair of my earplugs.

It happened while I was getting ready for bed, and I looked around and couldn’t find them anywhere…😳

So I assumed he ate them, but I wasn’t 100% sure.

Winston is a super good dog overall, but he loves eating plastic, rubber, and basically anything else he’s not supposed to have.🤷‍♂️

I know that Winston did indeed eat those earplugs…

Because this morning, I woke up to dog s*** all over my wife and I’s closet…

And in one of the numerous piles, I saw the remnants of those ear plugs.

Fortunately, we have hardwood floors in our closet and not carpet…😅

But it still sucked…

And I spent 15 minutes cleaning it up.

Gross stuff…

But the reason I’m sharing is this:

I don’t look at myself as a “guru,” but I know some people do think of me that way…

So anytime you start to think of me as a big deal, or feel intimidated to talk to me…

Just remember that I’m still a guy who sometimes spends his Saturday mornings on his hands and knees, scrubbing up dog s*** residue and dousing his floors with disinfectant.

That oughta help, haha

And really, it’s the same for a lot of other people who achieve a high profile in their lives too…

Famous folks, celebrities, and even those big offer owners who you wish you could write for.

Sure they’ve accomplished some cool things…🏆

But they’re just like the rest of us…

Good days and bad days…

Times where they are crushing life, and times where they’re cleaning up s***…

So if you want to connect with someone, don’t let their status stop you from making that happen.
