Want to Win in Life? Throw Your Ego In The Trash…

copy accelerator

When I posted the first draft of the sales letter for my RMBC Course in the private Copy Accelerator Facebook Group…📜

And asked members if they would give me feedback…💬

What’s awesome is that SO MANY of them did jump in and read the letter.

Their input was extremely valuable.

My biggest concern with this draft was the lead…

Because I didn’t think it was hard-hitting enough.😒

And, what my mastermind members told me…

Is that while they overwhelmingly thought most of the sales letter was fine…

Especially the whole background story part…

And the value stack for the actual course (several members said, “damn, I’m going to need to get this course too, even though I’m in your mastermind”)…

They generally agreed that I’d missed an opportunity in the lead.

Which was a SUPER valuable affirmation.

And as a result, I reworked the lead the next morning

To make sure it pulls people in.

So, why am I sharing all of this with you?

Two reasons…

The first reason is because MAN, this experience really reminds me of how valuable getting extra eyes on your sales copy is.

That’s one of the huge benefits of Copy Accelerator…

People are able to post whatever it is they’re working on…

And then me, Justin, and our other members will look over it and provide feedback and critiques.

That’s priceless.

And while I’m usually the one providing the feedback…

It was a really valuable experience being on the receiving end.

And the second reason I’m sharing this with you comes down to ego.

Think about it:

I’m supposed to be one of the best copywriters in the world…

The people in Copy Accelerator are paying upwards of $30,000 to be trained by me…

And then I’m posting a first draft of my copy in the group and asking, “how can I make this better?”

It wasn’t easy to do that…

I had thoughts like: “What if they see I’m not perfect?” “What if they don’t like it?” “Aren’t I supposed to have all the answers?”

So I’m proud of myself for fighting through all of those fears and insecurities…

And still sharing the letter with the group.

Their suggestions were SO GOOD.

And, because I was able to take my ego and throw it in the trash…

My final sales letter is going to be 10x better than it would have been otherwise.

So yeah, I just wanted to share…

Because Ego really is the enemy…

And the more we can set it to the side…

And approach everything we do with humility and vulnerability…

The better off we’ll be.
