The Stupid Secret To Increasing Average Order Values

In my email from January 19th…

I talked about how I spent 30 minutes reworking one of my weight loss offers to increase the AOV.

Well, the revised funnel went live recently…

And so far, the Average Order Value (AOV) has increased by $23.

I’m willing to bet that this increase will end up being closer to $30+ too…

And that’s a HUGE boost over time…

Because check out this math:

Let’s be fairly modest and say the AOV only ends up increasing by $25.

Over 100 sales a day, that’s still an extra $2,500 in additional revenue and probably $500 or so in profit…

Which ends up being an extra $912,000 in revenue over the course of a year…

Or $182,500 in profit.

Pretty wild, right?

Especially considering that this was something I did in THIRTY MINUTES.


So, what did I change?

It’s pretty simple…

I just added several lines of copy to the “close”…

Where I told the prospect that they should buy 6 bottles.

That’s it.

I just repeated that again-and-again…

“Smart people buy more” – that’s the mantra.

Then, I reinforced this mantra…

By illustrating what a big savings they get with a multi-bottle order.

Total this amounted to me adding 485 words to the copy…

Spread out throughout the close…

And yet, the increase in AOV will lead to roughly $1MM in additional revenue for the offer over the next year (and lots of profit too).


You should also know that none of the new copy I added was at all unique…

Instead, I just used the exact same language I use in every sales letter that has multiple package options.

I first discovered this little “hack” back in early 2017…

And suddenly, all of my health supplement funnels went from having an AOV of $145…

To $200+.

No joke.

It happened again-and-again-and-again.

In fact, the only reason that I only think the AOV on this new weight loss funnel is going to increase by $30…

Rather than $50 or $75…

Is because the specific variant I added this new language to has a much lower price point than usual.

Next, we’re going to add the same language to every other variant of the funnel as well though…

And for those ones, I’m very confident we’ll get at least a $50+ increase to our AOV.


I call the specific language I add into the end of my sales letters the “AOV Money Close”…

And it kills me that I didn’t about this close sooner…

Because while the fact that I did $23MM in a single year with my supplement company HLH is great…

If I’d known about the “AOV Money Close” back then…

I honestly would have done more like $35MM in the same time span…

And I would have put another $2MM – $3MM into the bank.


Now, I’m not going to share the exact language I use in the close in this email…

You have to be a Copy Accelerator Member…

But while you don’t get the specific phrasing here…

I think if you just take the advice in this email…

And start telling your prospects to buy more in the end of your sales letter…

You’ll be shocked by just how much it boosts your AOV.

It goes back to what I’ve said before…

Which is that your prospect needs to be told what to do.

If you leave them to make their own decisions…

They’ll likely decide on something other than what you want.

But, if you tell them how to decide…

And you do it in the right way…

Generally, they’re going to listen to you.

In fact, it’s probably fair to say that not only does your prospect need to be told what to do…

They actually want to be told what to do as well.


That’s it for today.

But seriously – following my advice in this email can change your life forever.

Doing this for your clients means your AOVs will blow away those of other writers…

And the client is going to love that and keep hiring you on repeat.
